The University of Newcastle Research Associates Limited (TUNRA) was established in 1969 as the commercial arm of the University of Newcastle. With an emphasis on research consulting, the TUNRA Bulk Solids (TBS) division has actively connected University academics with industry for more than 45 years, establishing themselves as a world leader in the provision of bulk materials handling solutions that is underpinned by a comprehensive testing laboratory.

TBS are seeking an enthusiastic Safety and Quality Officer to join a growing workshop team of experienced tradespeople. This role will support the Workshop Manager and will focus on ensuring safety and quality processes remain fit for purpose across the business. This will include compliance to minimum standards and actively contributing to continuous improvement. The role will be embedded in the workshop team, but will also work across the broader TBS team including engineers and laboratory technicians. The TBS business is located on the University of Newcastle campus, so the successful candidate will be skilled in working with a range of stakeholders.
