Workshop: Materials Handling Science in the Design & Selection of Equipment – QME

TUNRA Bulk Solids, in conjunction with specialists from FLSmidth, will be presenting a technical workshop at the Queensland Mining and Engineering Exhibition (QME), to take place in Mackay. This two-hour workshop will provide  delegates with known research development in the fundamentals of bulk solids handling and industry specialists surrounding machines types, with solutions based primarily on Materials Handling Science and how this determines design considerations and machine selection.

Participants will gain insight into:

• Importance of material properties
• Testing/sampling considerations
• Basic design principles for efficient transfer chute operation
• Determining the critical data/considerations/communications needed for machine selection
• Importance of defined machine operating parameters from concept to operation

This workshop will be of interest to professionals in production management, strategic planning, mechanical & process engineering, process control, continuous improvement working bodies, and maintenance personnel.
