Predicting Powder Flow from Containers with Flexible Walls

TUNRA Bulk Solids (TBS) is working with the International Fine Particle Research Institute (IFPRI) on a project with a range of multi-national companies across the Globe to better understand and predict the discharge characteristics of powders from storage containers with Flexible walls.  This is a serious problem for many process engineering companies in the chemical, Pharmaceutical and food industries worldwide. The project will involve both experimental and theoretical studies, including modelling techniques such as Discrete Particle Modelling (DEM) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA). The project requires regular interaction with the sponsor companies in the US and Internationally.
